Olsian Cela calls on prosecutors to contribute financially, solidarity with the situation

 The General Prosecutor of Albania, Olsian Çela, through a letter addressed to the prosecutors calls on them to contribute financially as much as possible, in a time when the country has declared a state of natural disaster as a result of the spread of coronavirus.

The letter is addressed to the district prosecutor's office, the Appellate Division and the General Prosecutor's Office.

"Given the emergency situation created in the country by the epidemic caused by the spread of COVID 19 and the state of natural disaster announced by the government, the contribution and solidarity of every citizen of the Republic of Albania is needed, including magistrates and institutions of Justice. In these conditions, the General Prosecutor would welcome the support of this initiative by any prosecutor or judicial police officer, considering it as a moral obligation to the country and the Albanian citizens", it is said in his letter among other things.

We remind that prosecutors are perceived as a rich stratum by the Albanian public due to the high level of corruption that exists in the country and that is being evidenced day by day through justice reform.
