The news was confirmed by the Infectious Diseases Clinic.
“The Infectious Diseases Clinic announced that during the first hours of April 21, 2020 in the Intensive Care of this clinic died the patient V.P. with residence in Gjakova (40) diagnosed with Covid-19. The same woman was pregnant and was being treated in the intensive care unit of the clinic since April 15, 2020," the announcement concludes.
The pregnant woman had been deteriorating since she was hospitalized. Hospital sources do not disclose the condition of the baby.
So far, 598 people have been infected with COVID 19 in Kosovo, while 16 of them have died and 123 have been cured.
According to Hospital sources, this is the 13th death by Covid-19 in this clinic and the 16th all over Kosovo.
