The incumbent Minister of Infrastructure and Environment, Lumir Abdixhiku, says that Serbia has banned the transport of goods coming from Kosovo.
Abdixhiku said that it was unprecedented to stop carriers during the pandemic period, accusing Serbian authorities of inhumane behavior and against the regional corridor agreement.
"It is unprecedented that during the pandemic, the Serbian authorities blocked the carriers of goods coming from Kosovo. This is an inhuman and flagrant violation of the regional agreement for green corridors during the battle with COVID-19, for which all six countries of the Western Balkans have agreed", the acting minister wrote. In an unprecedented move during pandemics Serbian authorities have blocked all freight forwarders (transport operators) coming from Kosovo.
