US Ambassador Yuri Kim to Albanian politicians: This is not the time for politics, the war cannot be won without unity and discipline

 

 The Ambassador of the United States of America to Albania, Yuri Kim, has called on Albanian leaders to put aside political conflicts at this difficult time of the war with COVID-19 and focus only on winning it. Through a Twitter post, Ambassador Kim says the war cannot be won without discipline and unity.

"I spoke with President Ilir Meta, Prime Minister Edi Rama and the leader of the Democrats, Lulzim Basha, to whom I asked that their united leadership against COVID-19 should continue. Now is not the time for politics. The war cannot be won without unity and discipline by all leaders and people, from Shkodra to Saranda", the ambassador writes.

The ambassador also said that she had an audio conversation with the Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu, whom she said she thanked together with the Albanian doctors who are on the front lines of the fight against the virus.
