Albanian driving licenses officially recognized in Turkey and vice versa

 Albanian driving licenses will now be recognized in Turkey as well, and vice versa. The decision that has been approved by the Council of Ministers suggests that an agreement has already been reached between the two countries on the recognition of patents.

Albanian citizens will be able to travel freely in Turkish territory with their private vehicles.

 The Council of Ministers has approved in today's meeting held by Prime Minister Edi Rama, the agreement reached between the two countries.

"Approval of the agreement, between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Turkey, on mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses based on Article 100 of the Constitution and Article 19 of Law no. 43/2016, "On international agreements in the Republic of Albania", on the proposal of the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, the Council of Ministers. Approval of the agreement, between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Turkey, for mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses, according to the text attached to this decision", it is stated in the decision of the Council of Ministers.

This decision enters into force after publication in the "Official Gazette".
