Albanian Police seizes 1.2 million liters of oil and a customs warehouse in Durres

In the framework of the operation "Force of Law" (known locally as OFL), during the last two months, OFL has not stopped working. In cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, OFL has continued to investigate and crack down on Special Law entities.

Together with the Specialized Financial Investigation Structures of the State Police and Customs, following the fight against informality, evasion, unlicensed activities and abuses of the oil market, last night OFL seized 1.2 million liters of oil and one customs warehouse, in Durrës, owned by the private entity LB & E. SH.

To this subject, on 13.02.2019, with the decision no. 85, was revoked the license by the competent state authorities...despite the revocation of the license, the entity has continued to illegally exercise its oil trading activity for fishing boats, using blackmail against competition and attempting to create a threatening monopoly for fishing industry operators.

After following the beginning of this criminal organization, OFL last night carried out the sequestration operation and is continuing, in cooperation with the Specialized Structures of Financial Investigation, intensive investigation to detect and document all criminal activity in this area and contact with other persons, public and private.

OFL will continue to inform the public about the progress of this important operation, which shows once again that criminal assets will not survive in the hands of the subjects of the Special Law or the family members and circle of their associates.
