Doctors in Durres protesting for rewards |
Among the demands is the reward for their work on the front lines of the fight against Covid-19.
According to the protesters, out of 22 employees of this unit, 12 of them received bonuses, while the rest did not receive any answer as to why they were not beneficiaries of the bonuses granted by the government, pointing the finger at the Directorate of Local Health Unit.
Doctors of the Health Directorate in Durrës protested this Wednesday demanding the reward of the war with the coronavirus just like in the COVID hospitals in Tirana. They say they were in the front line after receiving the tampons and monitoring the repatriates.
The staff of the Health Directorate in Durrës wants to be treated with the same reward as the employees of Covid hospitals in Tirana.
They say they were on the front lines of the coronavirus war, taking tampons for the suspects and keeping monitored the quarantine.
Doctors say they feel unappreciated by the government.
While the head of the Health Trade Union, Zija Alhysa, says that there are 22 doctors and support staff who benefit from the government's reward, as promised, 120 thousand ALL for doctors and 65 000 for the nurses.
The staff of the Health Directorate in Durrës has also protested previously against the unfair rejection of the full reward for their commitment against coronavirus.
