Arab immigrants in Albania |
Immigrants illegal trafficking also exists in many other countries. But Albania is the most popular country. There are several reasons for this. An illegal immigrant from Egypt or Libya to Europe has a long way to go through. If he or she departs from the sea, the journey lasts for many days and can be dangerous. In addition, he has to pay large sums of money, which go up to 30-40 thousand euros per person.
If he departs by land, he must cross illegally at least 5 different states until he reaches Europe. Then the solution comes by using Albania as a transit. He doesn’t need to come here illegally. He pays traffickers 4 thousand or 5 thousand euros, opens a ghost business, and disguises himself as an investor. He then lands the plane in Rinas with his head held high because he has regular papers.
He now is very close to Europe. Italy is just a few hours by boat and another 5 thousand euros pay. In total, an Arab immigrant has spent about 10 thousand euros and has reduced the risks to the maximum. He doesn't have to go to the mountains or sail 10 days at open sea and pay over 30,000 euros.
Albania does not control the ghost businesses. In other Balkan countries, one would not dare to start a business by making false statements of key addresses and data.
There is a lack of control in Albania and therefore these immigrants prefer to come to Albania. The costume of a fake investor is more comfortable for them than walking down the mountains.
