After referring to Kosovo as a Republic in their documents, 16 trucks from Serbia entered Kosovo.
But 13 other trucks that did not comply with the new reciprocity measures were not allowed to enter Kosovo.
According to the spokesman of Kosovo Customs, Adriatik Stavileci, the decision has given effects, returning some trucks, but has not stopped imports from this country as a whole.
The decision to increase reciprocity measures obliges the Food and Veterinary Agency to use the emblem and the name Republic of Kosovo in phytosanitary and veterinary certificates.
The criteria set by the Government's decision then in office, according to the spokesman of this agency, Lamir Thaçi, are being implemented during the internal and border control.
In addition to the decision, the Ministry of Economy has approved an ordinance on the implementation of reciprocity measures in trade relations with Serbia.
It urges the Market Inspectorate to remove from the market all goods from Serbia that are not in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo and the legislation in force, paying special attention to national signs of conformity.
The government led by Kurti, on March 31, had decided to abolish the tax and gradually establish reciprocity, while shortly before leaving power harshed the measures.
The abolition of the tax has affected the imports from Serbia for two months to reach about 35 million euros, while the export only about 3 million euros.
