28-year old Albanian crosses the Greek border with 3 mules to cut wood, arrested

 An Albanian crossed the border illegally and reached a mountainous area in Kastoria in order to cut down trees in Greek forests.

He also had three mules with him that he would use to transport the wood to his homeland for trade.

The 28-year-old Albanian was caught by police officers of the Nestorio department of Kastoria and the local department of the Border Guard while transporting a cubic meter of oak wood that he had cut with an ax.

The 28-year-old has been accused by the Greeks of violating forest legislation and illegal entry into the country was also sent to the prosecutor of the Court of First Instance of Kastoria, while he was also fined for violating preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus.
