| Immigrants caught by police in Korça while being transported |
The police operation codenamed "Perimeter" continues.
Following this operation, two other cases of criminal activity in the field of providing assistance to foreign citizens for illegal border crossing in exchange for money is hit.
18 illegal immigrants are banned and 5 citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto.
The structures for the Investigation of Crimes in the Local Police Directorate of Korça, in cooperation with the Border Police, the services of the Traffic Police Sector and the Pogradec Police Commissariat, following the police operation "Perimeter", have hit two other cases of criminal activity in the field of providing assistance to foreign nationals for illegally crossing the border...these citizens are:
- MK, 35 years old, FF, 20 years old and EL, 23 years old, all three residents of Laç, who were caught by the Traffic Police services near the village of Zëmblak, transporting with three vehicles in the direction of Tirana, in exchange of the amount of 1000 euro, 15 foreign nationals, illegal immigrants.
- E. Xh., 21 years old, resident in Pogradec and F.D., 24 years old, resident in Korça, who at the entrance of the city of Pogradec, were caught by the Police transporting with a vehicle in the direction of Tirana, in exchange of the amount of 500 euros, 3 foreign nationals, illegal immigrants.
The materials were handed over to the Prosecution Offices of the Judicial Districts of Pogradec and Korça, for the criminal offense "Assistance for illegal border crossing, committed in collaboration".
