Albania, 2 dead and 72 new COVID-19 cases in the lat 24 hours

 

 During the last 24 hours in Albania, 374 Covid19  tests have been performed, of which 72 positive cases have been confirmed.

The geographical distribution of cases is as follows: 19 affected in Tirana, 9 in Kruja, 8 cases in Shkodra, Durres, Puka, 4 cases in Saranda and Vlora, 3 cases in Fier, Lushnje, 2 in Lezha, and 1 case in Korça, Elbasan, Has, Kavaja. Currently, in our country there are 963 active persons with COVID19, mainly in Tirana, Shkodra, Durres.

Meanwhile, a 70-year-old man from Shkodra and a 54-year-old man from Tirana, confirmed with Covid19, with some concomitant diseases, have died in the infectious disease hospital, despite the care of doctors and intensive therapy.

There are still hospitalizations in the infectious disease hospital where 77 patients are currently being treated, 15 of them are in intensive care, while 2 are intubated.

The good news is that in the last 24 hours 38 citizens have been recovered, bringing the number of recovering to 1384 since the beginning of the epidemic.
