A 76-year-old man from Tirana, with some other diseases, after having improved after 15 days of treatment, has suffered pulmonary thromboembolism. A 54-year-old man in serious condition, with renal insufficiency, died at the hospital emergency room.
According to the Ministry of Health, the situation is serious in the infectious disease hospital where 87 patients are currently being treated, 15 of them are in intensive care, while 2 are intubated.

The epidemiological situation in the country is continuing in the 16th week of the epidemic, but in the last 3 weeks we have a high intensity of encountering positive cases with Covid19. We also have a high number of cases requiring hospital treatment and intensive care. This situation is directly related to the epidemiological criterion, such as the long incubation period of 14 days, as well as non-compliance with the measures imposed to stop the transmission of the virus.
Therefore, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to all citizens, businesses, institutions, to respect the established measures and approved security protocols, as the only way to protect yourself and your relatives.
In the last 24 hours, unfortunately, two citizens have not been able to win the battle against the disease, despite the great assistance of doctors and medical treatment.

The good news is that in the last 24 hours 48 citizens have been cured, bringing the number of cured people to 1298 since the beginning of the epidemic.
Meanwhile, tests have continued at the Virology Laboratory at the IPH and during the last 24 hours 402 tests have been performed to suspect Covid19, of which 77 positive cases have been confirmed.
The geographical distribution of cases is as follows: Tirana 28 cases, Shkodra 13 cases, Durrës and Korça with 5 cases each; from 4 cases in Delvina and Berat; from 3 cases in Fier, Kurbin and Puka; from 2 cases in Elbasan and Kamza; from 1 case in Kruja, Tropoja, Librazhd, Gjirokastra, Saranda.
There are currently 920 active people in our country with COVID19, mainly in Tirana, Shkodra, Durres.
Serological tests have continued at the Laboratory of Microbiology at QSUT. 3380 health personnel tests were performed with a total positivity of 6%.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection addresses every tourist enterprise and all holidaymakers to implement the anti-Covid19 measures protocol throughout the season.
The service staff, in contact with vacationers/visitors must necessarily wear protective masks. In accommodation structures, the physical distance of not less than 1.5 meters must be maintained.
Strictly implement cleaning and disinfection measures in all buffet areas, bars, restaurants, kitchens in all accommodation structures.
Be careful when using the elevator in the accommodation structures that dispose of it, respecting the distancing and hygiene measures.
