Miroslav Lajcak admits that the result of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue has been achieved thanks to the United States

 The EU Commissioner for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak had today a meeting with the President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi.

Lajcak stated after the meeting that all issues and achievements of the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia have so far come with the help and involvement of the United States of America.

The EU envoy also said that the issue of Kosovo and Serbia will be resolved once and for all and will be legally binding on both sides.

"My mandate is very clear, that is, to help reach a comprehensive and legally binding agreement between Serbia and Kosovo, which would normalize relations and resolve all issues that remain once and for all and which would be acceptable to EU countries and EU member states. This means that I am expected to bring this process to a successful conclusion in 2011. "

"I don't know, but what I do know is that the European Union has always worked closely with the United States. Everything that has been achieved during the dialogue process has been the result of close cooperation with the United States, and that is exactly and still remains our ambition and we continue to expect this cooperation with the United States", he Lajcak.
