Police chief been arrested for raping a 15-year old girl in Puka, been released from prison for lack of evidence

 Former police chief of Fushë-Arrëz Police Station, Izmir Duraku, who has been arrested for raping a 15-year-old orphaned minor in 2015 who was to the police to denounce sexual abuse, has been released.

At the time, Izmir Duraku was working as a police officer in Shkodra, and the orphaned minor claims that when he went to denounce sexual abuse by employees of the Shkodra Orphanage, he was violently raped by Duraku.

The prosecution has declared illegal the arrest because there is no evidence.

Meanwhile, Izmir Duraku told to media that he has no comment on what happened and expects justice to be done.

Duraku was even expelled from the State Police by order the Head of Albania Police Ardi Veliu, while the Minister of Interior Sander Lleshaj condemned strongly this act after this arrest, but the Prosecution already proves the opposite.
