As part of the operation codenamed "Cyclist", the citizen with the initials M. M., resident of Durrës, previously convicted for the criminal offense "Theft", has been handcuffed.
The young man is accused of 21 bicycle thefts that occurred during the last months in the city of Durrës.
Apparently bicycle theft was turning out to be good business in this time of pandemic in Albania, when people are increasingly traveling by bicycle.
Police Notification:
This citizen, on 04.06.2020, in the neighborhood no. 1, Durrës, stole the bicycle of the citizen B. D. and after being chased by the Police services, he was caught red-handed in the neighborhood no. 17, Durrës.
From the investigative actions carried out, it is suspected that this citizen has committed 21 bicycle thefts during the last months in Durrës, specifically:
On February 2020, he allegedly stole bicycles from citizens E. L and E. V;
On March 2020, it is suspected that he stole the bicycle from citizen I. B .;
On April 2020 it is suspected that he stole the bicycles from the citizens D. Sh., M. Sh., R. S., S. H., H. C., and Z. A .;
On May 2020 it is suspected that he stole bicycles from citizens A. G., J. B, B. D., O. Gj., B. N., G. K., I. Xh., V. K., M. Xh., L. D., P. K. .; On 03.06.2020 it is suspected that he stole the bicycle from the citizen D. Q .;
The materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office of the Durrës Judicial District, for further action.
