12 new members of the Academy of Sciences of Albania |
Well-known names such as Adrian Civici and Mimoza Hafizi, who won the associate academic title, Pëllumb Xhufi and Genc Sulçebe, who will now be academics, have already been added to the Academy.
The elected will already be members of the Assembly of the Academy of Sciences, while 2 of them will be external members, Ardian Ndreca and Ardian Vehbiu.

The election process is over and the voting result is announced
In fulfillment of the agenda of the Assembly Meeting, points 1, 2 and 3, re-announced on June 15, 2020, the Assembly of the Academy of Sciences, in its meeting of June 29, 2020, carried out the procedures provided in Articles 7 and 11 of the Statute for the election of new associate academic and academic members, for advances in the academic title of its two members (internal movements), as well as for the election of external members.
After the presentation of the candidacies by the President of the Academy, the Assembly elected the voting commission for the statutory administration of the electoral process, with the following composition: Neki Frashëri (chairman), Floran Vila (member), Jorgaq Kaçani (member) and emeritus Gjovalin Shkurtaj (member).
Referring to the result announced by the special commission after the counting of votes he Assembly decited:

1. Arjan Durrësi;
2. Ilirian Malollari.

Are elected members of the Assembly by obtaining the associate academic title:
1. Adrian Civici;
2. Artan Boriçi;

External members of the Academy of Sciences of Albania are elected:
1. Ardian Ndreca;
2. Ardian Vehbiu.
