"The dialogue is led by the Prime Minister of Kosovo. There have been various discussions in recent weeks and months, I will not compete with other institutional profiles, as my constitutional competencies are clear, including the competencies for dialogue", stated Hoti.
Regarding the principles of dialogue, Hoti said that Kosovo's territorial integrity is non-negotiable.
"No agreement is meaningless without mutual recognition, and not temporary mutual recognition, but mutual recognition that provides us with seats at the UN and provides us with recognition from the five EU countries that have not yet recognized us," he added.
The objective of the Government of Kosovo in the dialogue with Serbia is that in this agreement all open issues with Serbia should be addressed, such as the fate of the missing and a long list of issues that are pending.
Dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia has been suspended since November 2018, when Kosovo authorities imposed a 100 per cent tax on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Meanwhile, this measure has been replaced by reciprocity, but the new government of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, has removed all measures, due to which, as he said, the removal of all obstacles to the continuation of dialogue with Serbia.
The dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, mediated by the European Union, started in 2011 in Brussels.
