Thousands of citizens protesting against sexual violence in Tirana following the rape of a 15-year old girl

 Thousands of Albanian citizens staged a rally in Tirana this afternoon to condemn and oppose violence against minors, after the latest case in which a 65-year-old school watchman raped a 15-year-old student.

The gathering started in "Nëntë Tereza" Square, then the participants, who were holding various banners in their hands, marched on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard to the "Skënderbej" Square.

Many public figures, singers, artists, journalists, and various activists also took part in the protest.

We recall that based on the statistics of the last 18 months, sexual violence against minors increased terribly in Albania.
