The director of the National Agency for Information Society (NAIS), Mirlinda Karçanaj, spoke yesterday about the benefits that every Albanian has from digital governance.
"Digital governance is a very important indicator of a country's well-being. This is because the citizens receive automatically online services by reducing corruption and getting rid of corrupt officials and saving a lot of time." Western and well-governed countries cannot be imagined without digital governance."
According to Karçanaj, "the high number of services provided on the e-Albania portal and transparency have been two of the indicators that positioned Albania in the first place."
"Transparency is also a point of appreciation. Online publication of the list of electronic services and continuous statistics on them, registration, user are the indicator that evaluates Albania as the only country that has achieved this indicator", she said.
According to the annual report of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, Albania has also lagged behind countries that have opened negotiations for the European Union. After Albania is Serbia, which completes 6 of the seven indicators, followed by North Macedonia with 5 completed indicators.
