An Albanian pilot writes his name in the history of motoring.

It is about Lirim Zendeli who competes under the German flag and recorded his first victory in the Formula 3 World Championship as he triumphed in race 1 at the Belgian Grand Prix. The 20-year-old Zendeli, who competes with the Charouz Racing System team, started the race from pole position to completely dominate, crossing the finish line 4.7 seconds away from Pourchaire in second place, while David Beckmann came in third.

Zendeli also starred at the Silverstone Grand Prix in the UK when he lost the race only in the final lap as he was overtaken by Bent Viscaal, a situation he managed not to repeat on the Belgian SPA track.

"It was really a very good weekend with pole position and 1 win," said Zendeli after the race.

"The team did a very good job, they put a car at my disposal to win the pole position and then to win the race".

Lirim Zendeli after the points obtained in the Belgian race sees himself in 7th place in the overall ranking with 69 points while at the top is Piastri with 140 points.
