Turkey responds to France relating to "red line": You will face our determined stance

Hami Aksoy published a written statement in response to a question about the French head of state statement on the implementation of a red line policy in the Eastern Mediterranean.

"Those who think they have drawn red lines against the just cause of Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean will only face the firm stance of our country.

If there is a red line in the region, it can only be that of the rights of Turkey and the Turkish Cypriots, which stem from international law.

It is time for those who see themselves in the magnifying glass to face reality. The era when imperialist mindsets defined boundaries by removing visas on maps is long gone.

Turkey is fully capable of detaining anyone who tries to forcefully usurp its legitimate rights and interests by sending an "army" (fleet).

"On this occasion, we would like to remind that the disputes in the Eastern Mediterranean will be resolved on the basis of equality, not through the promotion of non-regional actors, but only through dialogue and cooperation between coastal states," said in a statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hami Aksoy.
