Turkish Coast Guard rescues 74 asylum seekers in Aegean Sea
 
 Turkish Coast Guard crews rescued 74 asylum seekers offshore off the coast of Balikesir who were forced by Greek Coast Guard units to return to Turkish territorial waters.

A group of asylum seekers set off illegally on two speedboats towards the island of Midilli (Lesbos) in Greece.

But the Greek Coast Guard caught all 74 migrants and repulsed them in Turkish territorial waters.

Turkish Coast Guard Command units located near the shores of Maden and Çiplak the asylum seekers, who were trapped in dinghies in the middle of the sea. The Turkish Coast Guard rescued the asylum seekers and brought them to land, according to TRT.
