Nikos Skepathianos in his "Taverna" |
According to neighboring media, Albanians robbed his house in Mykonos.
The well-known businessman, Nikos Skepathianos had realized that he was being robbed when the thieves had gone to get the money from the safe. When he tried to stop them, the perpetrators turned around and punched and kicked him.
So they forced him to open the safe and give him the money. Under the threat of a gun, the businessman gave to Albanians 12,000 euros.
It was the businessman's daughter who heard the voices and called the police. Police are working to clarify the circumstances and make it possible to identify the persons.
Greek media write that the Albanian gang was well organized and they knew that the businessman was leaving the tavern with his wife, around midnight. They had calculated the time taken for the businessman to get to his house.
The authors knew about the existence of the safe, as they knew that the owner of the tavern carries with him the income of the day, which is not negligible, as the fish tavern of Nikos Skepathiano is one of the oldest on the island and operates mainly by cruise and generates great daily income.
