The Albanian Eridan Skana becomes the boss of the company that hired him when emigrated to France
Eridan Skana
"Eridan Skana arrived in France at the age of 17 where he did not speak a word of Moliere language. "But today he is the owner of the company where he worked during the summer and manages 60 employees", this is how the French newspaper Les’t Republicain begins its article about the Albanian who today is considered as the master of road signs.

In a few days he turns 40 and is responsible for the professional fate of sixty people divided into three companies. This includes his family, his wife and his two children, Léna and Nolan. Moreover, the company he created to oversee the three companies of Ecole-Valentin (25), Vesoul (70) and Rurey (25), is called NS, the initials of his two children.

Eridan Skana works in road signage. With his three companies, he has all the capacity to respond to all public market offerings, from floor marking to panel production. He's competitors are now called Bouygues, Vinci or Lacroix Signalisation.

"Yes, very big groups, but we can compete," he says.

A few months ago, Eridan Skana became famous for an operation that hit the small economic world of Franche-Comté.

He bought Franche-Comté Signaux in Rurey (Doubs) after fighting hard against a competing candidate.

What favored him in buying the company where he worked in the Summer

Franche-Comté Signaux is the company where he started working when he arrived in France at the age of 17.

"My brother Alfred worked there, I started it as a Summer job to pay for law studies and then I got a job. I installed the panels all over France, all the way to Reunion. It was beautiful. After that, there was a moment when I no longer understood where the company wanted to go. So I went to find mine."

Many years later, he returned to his new business as the boss. "I knew almost everyone, it was good to see them again. But anyway I told them that I am no longer the Eridan you once knew. "

What favored him during the acquisition of Franche-Comté Signaux in Rurey was his desire to keep all the workers, about thirty people, in this company in real difficulty. I hired four more people, bought new equipment. This company must meet the future challenges of smart roads."

I'm not in France by default

At the age of 17, he would leave his hometown of Mirdita, for France.

"My parents did not agree, but I could not stay in a place where I did not see a future. Today, Albania is adapting quickly, it is a very hospitable country that deserves to be given a chance to the people."

Nostalgia for Albania?

"No, I go even less there. And France is where my job is. I am not divided between the two countries. I'm not in France, by default. This country is scary, it would probably be of interest to have more reasonable immigration. It is in the interest of France to bring in people that this country really needs. Australia, Canada, have no complexes about this.
