The Russian spokeswoman apologizes for the description of the Vucic-Trump photo

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has apologized for a Facebook post in which she compared a photo of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in a meeting with US President Donald Trump with a scene from the movie Basic Instinct.

However, Ms. Zakharova did not miss the opportunity to strike at the United States.

"I apologize, but my post was misinterpreted! The only thing that was kept in it was the rejection of the arrogant attitude of the 'extraordinary'."

"Protocol tricks have become one of the techniques that US officials use regularly to artificially create the visibility of their franchise. And this is unacceptable," the Russian spokeswoman wrote.

Ms. Zakharova appears to have despised Mr. Vucic in an earlier Facebook comment, saying he had been invited to the White House for questioning.
