The salaries of Albanian doctors will increase by 40%, but the challenges are strong

 The Minister of Economy and Finance, Anila Denaj, was invited today to the Open where she spoke about the increase of doctors' salaries during the pandemic.

She said that with the budget review, salaries for doctors and nurses will increase. She even revealed the average figure they will get.

"It is important to start with the Health sector because it is a year where the focus is on the life of doctors. Earlier we saw 3 state budget reviews. We also discussed the changes that will take place in 2021. These are technical discussions that started in July. And part of these changes is the salaries of doctors and nurses. So this is not the first increase that will take place in a governing term of the Rama government. This increase comes after a 21% increase for doctors and 26% for nurses," said Denaj.

How much does the salary of doctors go with this increase?

"We will talk about the average level of salary changes, it will be an increase that goes from 110-120 thousand new leks for doctors. "But we will do this after the announcement of the budget review," she said.

This move comes after a lot of dissatisfaction among the people, widespread corruption, and lack of proper service in the health sector.
