 Recent tensions between Turkey and Greece have also been reflected in the organization of the army. The Turkish Armed Forces began transporting tanks to the Greek border.

Two convoys of trucks loaded with about 40 tanks left the Syrian border this afternoon.

The tanks had been stationed at the Syrian border, now they were loaded with trucks and headed for Edirne, at the border with Greece.

The caravan is expected to be transported by train from the port of Iskenderun to Edirne.
