4 months of traffic hell awaits Tirana, journalist Hoxha says

 Journalist Artan Hoxha has warned 4 months of hell in the capital due to the traffic created as a result of the works in the Unaza e Re (New Ring). He writes on his Facebook profile that now that the movement in Tirana is expected to increase due to the departure of universities and the end of extended vacations, Tirana is paralyzed in this form.

He raises the concern that if you get sick at this time and have to go to the hospital you should pray to have enough breath until you go to the hospital so that you can leave the will to the doctor.

"4 months of hell await us, in the crazy traffic of Tirana… From today, October 26, 2020, until February 26, 2021, the capital of Albania is obliged to submit to a hell regime for road traffic. For the next 4 months, any vehicle user, who is forced by work or worries, to move on the streets of the capital, will really be a sacrifice of patience and maximum nerve strain.

It does not matter to you, neither what vehicle you use, nor what schedule you choose to circulate, nor the traffic lights that confuse you more than regulate the traffic, not even the traffic police. The latter, in fact, the most innocent in this story, will be cursed from morning to midnight for traffic jams. I do not know who was that "genius" mind, which in exactly 4 months with the busiest traffic in the capital, has found this "solution". It is the last 4 months of autumn and winter, where the atmospheric conditions are more problematic than ever, with heavy rainfall. It is 4 months when the teaching process starts in universities, which significantly increases the traffic in the capital.

There are months when everyone returns from vacation, no matter how long. When those engaged in spring-summer seasonal work in villages or provinces return to their homes to spend the harsh winter season. These are the months of the big holidays, the November holidays, the end-of-year holidays, the February holidays. It is the time when emigrants return from abroad, to spend the holidays with their families…

I am not dealing with criminally narrowed roads. I am not dealing with bicycle lanes, which have expanded so much, but where so few users move. If the space allotted to bicycles was dedicated to ambulances, taxis or urban buses, it would be half the battle. Traffic would have eased a bit, even if the bike lanes had been dedicated to concrete mixers, heavy-duty trucks, or trailers traveling with any kind of cargo, whenever they want.

But you are sick and you have to go to the hospital. Ask God to hold your breath, so that when you arrive at the emergency door, at least you can leave the wills to the doctor. From today for 4 months of winter, citizens of the capital, and every user of the streets of Tirana, you will curse yourself from the morning to late night, when you will have to take the children to kindergartens or school in the morning, to go to work. Then at noon, when you will pick up the children from school, return home from work.

You will curse yourself, when you will have to go from Kombinati to Kinostudio, to Ali Dem, then leave from Kamza to New Tirana. A simple question, why did not this blockage happened during the hot summer months, when Tirana is empty, when the weather conditions allow you to work in the facility 24 hours, when the citizens go on vacation, schools and universities are closed ???? !! !! In fact, the "genius" mind, which decided to block the traffic of Tirana, where over 60% of the country's population circulates, exactly during the Winter, has inadvertently done us a great honor...
