A 42-year-old Turk has been arrested by the Albanian police at the Morina border crossing point.
The Turkish citizen was arrested on behalf of Interpol, as it turns out to be internationally wanted by the German authorities. He is accused of drug trafficking.
The Border Police arrest and handcuff a Turkish citizen declared internationally wanted by Germany.
His provisional arrest was made in cooperation with Interpol Tirana, for the purpose of extradition to Germany.
At the entrance of the Morina Border Crossing Point, the Border Police services, as a result of the increased measures and the exchange of information with Interpol Tirana, detained the citizen declared internationally wanted:
I.E, 42 years old, resident in Turkey.
While processing and verifying the data in the system, this citizen turned out to be an internationally wanted person from Interpol Wiesbaden, Germany.
The German Judicial Authorities have imposed on him the security measure "Prison arrest", for the criminal offense "Drug Trafficking", provided by the German Criminal Code.
