Referring to the example of New Zealand, the Cornell professor of clinical medicine appealed to "come together for 6 weeks to prevent the virus from multiplying and it would actually be the death of the virus".
"Since the beginning of my interviews, some have called it extreme my opinion that masks should be used strictly. Masks were the only salvation until the vaccine came. Also given that no vaccine is 100 percent curable, the mask is the only thing that prevents the spread of the virus. This disease is spread through saliva, speech, coughing or sneezing and the only care is masks.
"The mask is the only salvation at the moment. I proposed a very simple thing. If we get together for 6 weeks we will not allow the virus to multiply and in fact, it would be the death of the virus but we must be of one voice there is no room for politics, to speculate, and to grasp different theories. I tell everyone and the government to try and get together to use the masks for 6 weeks. I promise it will disappear," said Murtezani.
