Albanian-Greek cannabis plantation gang broken, they potentially lost 1.8m euros

 A structured criminal group involved in cannabis cultivation was recently discovered in Greece. The criminal organization consisted of Greek and Albanian citizens, while there were also women among the 10 arrested.

 Greek police have released videos and photos of the operation while suggesting that cannabis was cultivated in large areas of Attica, Arcadia, and Corinth.


Potential profits are estimated at 1.5m to 1.8m euros. In total, about 1,500 cannabis plants were seized, over 1 quintal of hashish, ready for sale, 27 mobile phones, 18,000 euros, and materials used for drug cultivation.

The plantations were located in mountainous and inaccessible areas, while the criminal organization had a hierarchical structure with distinct roles of its members.
