Prime Minister Edi Rama at the conference on the issue of corruption stressed that no illusions should be created with the work of SPAK and other new bodies of Justice.
According to him, without punishing corrupt judges and prosecutors, there will be no punishments for the corrupt political class, because according to him, the ties between them are strong.
"I am glad that here we are talking about corruption based on facts. In facts highlighted quite independently by a well-known integrity organization for identifying corruption in all states and assessing the situation. It is undisputed that the fight against corruption is essentially a fight for the modernization of the state. It is the alternative of the state when it lacks in service to the citizens when it is unavailable to give what belongs to everyone. And when the state is powerless to place the public interest above various private interests. The difference between developed countries and developing countries in terms of corruption is not a difference between peoples, genetic, but a systemic difference. Developed countries are not immune to corruption. For it is like the devil who sleeps with the living. It is part of human life. It is not the people who corrupt the system, but the system the people. Albania is still in a process of growth, still a very young democratic state. There are many in a man's life, 30 years in the state-building process. Justice reform is a key moment. All this is a guarantee for the future of our children. Here begins the future of another state, which tomorrow will be immune. If we look today at the panorama of actuality in the Justice, it is dynamic and there are many whites and many blacks. White is highlighted and black is highlighted. There is much hope and many reasons for sadness. White will go towards expansion, black towards reduction. Meanwhile, it is imperative to place emphasis on as vetting wreaks havoc on all things accumulated over the years. Let no one have any illusions, there will be no incarceration to the high political levels if there will be no kicks to the high levels of Justice. They will not go behind bars, let us have no illusions that it will happen to senior officials. Some judges and prosecutors, now that we are talking, are committing a crime in courtrooms ...", Rama said..
