Database for Albanian students abroad, the commission starts its work

 The first meeting was held by the special commission for the evaluation of the results of students who study abroad, and foreign citizens of Albanian origin, who receive scholarships from the Republic of Albania. During the online meeting the members were informed about their role in starting work and coordinating the institutions responsible for creating a state database for all Albanian students abroad as well as foreign nationals of Albanian origin who receive scholarships from the Republic of Albania, according to Decision no. 504, dated. 24.6.2020, of the Council of Ministers.

The meeting of the first Commission

This working group is chaired by the Minister of State for Diaspora, Mr. Pandeli Majko, and is composed of Deputy Ministers and Secretaries-General in the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Directorate of the National Diaspora Agency, the Directorate General of Policy and Development of Education, Sports and Youth in the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, the Directorate of the General Directorate of Political and Strategic Affairs and the Directorate of Consular Affairs in the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

The result of the work of this commission will be the creation of a state database of students who study abroad, and foreign citizens of Albanian origin, who receive scholarships from the Republic of Albania. This data register will contain personal data on Albanian citizens who complete university studies abroad; foreign citizens of Albanian origin, who are beneficiaries of programs funded by the Republic of Albania as well as for Albanian citizens, who have benefited from scholarships offered to Albania by countries from international and non-profit organizations based on signed agreements or other documents to which the Republic of Albania has adhered.
