The head of the Municipality of Tuz, Nik Gjeloshaj, who is also a deputy in Montenegro, has announced that he has decided to give up the post of deputy because he will not hold two public positions, according to the current law of Montenegro.
Gjeloshaj says he has decided to contribute to his position as mayor. He adds that the Albanian list is a serious political organization with the strongest support of Albanians.
He says that this list is the political future of Albanians and the advancement of their rights should work for the good of Albanians.
"Dear citizens, As you are informed, with the current laws in Montenegro, a person can not hold two political positions. After I was elected MP on August 30, it was necessary for me to resign from one position. After the analysis, I decided that I can mostly contribute to the people and my country, as mayor! The Albanian List is a serious political organization, with the strongest support of Albanians. Our political platform includes the demands of our people! A challenge that we started in Tuz, after the great victory of the Albanians, only a year and a half later, would not be serious to stop.
I am a fighter by nature and do not retreat in the middle of the road! The project must be carried out to the end, especially at this time when Podgorica attacked Malësia, who tried to rob us and humiliate us. But no they will not succeed, I will be in the front line of the political front to defend this cause, together with colleagues and partners from the Albanian List. Wherever we are, we will represent our nation with dignity and influence the development of the country.
Although for personal and family comfort, the position of MP would be much easier for me, I chose to continue working, without stopping for the development of my country and people! Therefore, there is no function that can be an opportunity that can move me in the middle of the road, to develop our country. The won project of the municipality is a sweat and a great victory of whole generations, the diaspora and the Albanian parties! It is a sacred project that no one dares to think of playing with, in whatever way and circumstance it may need, it will be defended!
