Official Albania asks Cuba to recognize Kosovo

 Today, the Speaker of the Assembly, Gramoz Ruçi, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Caidad Yaira Cueto Milian, on the occasion of the beginning of her duty.

He stressed Albania's interest in expanding bilateral relations, through the promotion of the process of political consultations and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade exchanges, tourism, culture, etc.

He also asked for Cuba's support for Albania's candidacy in the UN Security Council for the years 2022-2023. He also demanded that Cuba review its position and recognize the Republic of Kosovo as well as support its membership in international organizations.

Ambassador Caidad Yaira Cueto Milian expressed the desire of the Cuban government to expand relations with Albania and promised her country's support for Albania's candidacy in the UN Security Council, for the years 2022-2023.

Milian said that she would present the issue of recognition of Kosovo to the Cuban government.
