Record of COVID-19 cases in Albania, 302 cases in 24 hours

 The Ministry of Health of Albania has announced 302 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, which is a new record in the context of Albania.

Meanwhile, 3 victims have been registered.

We inform you about the epidemiological situation in the last 24 hours of COVID19 in Albania: 1405 tests were performed in the last 24 hours, of which 302 citizens affected by the SARS-COV2 virus tested positive.

54 citizens have been cured, bringing to 10,395 the number of cured in the country since the beginning of the epidemic.

The positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in these municipalities:

173 affected in Tirana, which is considered the hotspot of the epidemic; 30 cases in Lushnje, 12 cases in Fier, 10 cases in Gjirokastra,

9 cases in Elbasan; Kavaja, Mirdita, 8 cases in Gramsh, 5 cases in Kruja and Librazhd; 4 cases in Has and Peqin, 3 cases in Durrës, Korçë, Lezhë, Mat, 2 cases in Përmet; Delvinë, Tepelena,

1 case in Puka, Pogradec; Dibër, Prenjas, Memaliaj, Kolonjë.

Currently in the Infectious Diseases Hospital and "Shefqet Ndroqi" are being treated 258 patients, 19 in intensive care of which 6 patients are intubated.

In the last 24 hours, despite the efforts of doctors, unfortunately have lost the battle with COVID19: a 62-year-old and an 80-year-old from Tirana, a 63-year-old from Mirdita, with concomitant diseases.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to the citizens to put the mask everywhere outside the house, keep the distance and take care of hygiene, only in this way can the spread of SARAS COV2 infection be prevented.
