The Albanian Parliament approves amendments to the Electoral Code. Who voted against?

 The Parliament of Albania has approved today with 97 votes in favor, 15 against, and 6 abstentions the amendments to the Electoral Code, which prohibit pre-election coalitions, an electoral threshold of 1%, and open lists.

Candidates will only be able to change the ranking if they manage to get at least the average of the party votes.

In addition to the votes of the ruling majority, members of the parliamentary opposition also voted for the new Electoral Code. But what stands out among the votes against, is the name of Gjetan Gjetani who in the last parliamentary elections was elected MP in the logo of the Socialist Party, but was expelled from the SP group.

While among the votes in favor of the new Electoral Code, some of the deputies of the parliamentary opposition also voted, among them; Robert Bitri, Eugen Bojaxhi, Ediola Braha, Arlind Çarçani, Majlinda Halilaj.
