The Albanian Parliament approved the definition of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance for Anti-Semitism, an action that was welcomed by the European Union and the United States.
"We welcome the resolution adopted today by the Albanian Parliament. The European Union is determined to fight all forms of anti-Semitism and to take care of the lives of Jews. "To support international action, the European Union will organize a comprehensive roundtable on the European Union strategy for anti-Semitism," said EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca.
"This action shows the long tradition of Albania in the fight against hatred. It also reminds us of the story of Albanians who sheltered bravely the victims of persecution, despite the consequences and the danger that threatened them.
