Another US undersecretary, this time in charge of culture and education, knocked on the door of Edi Rama, who just a few days ago had received one of Washington's top representatives on energy issues.

Marie Royce informed the Prime Minister that she would not be the last. "Exchange programs are the best way for Albanians and Americans to learn other cultures, make friends and develop skills, you will see many Americans here in Albania, I guarantee you," said the Undersecretary.

Rama acknowledged that Albanians were accustomed to seeing America as a superpower in other areas, while in terms of culture the exchange had reason to be on both sides.

"Believe me, there are many things you can learn from our culture. At the end of the day, culture is an area where the United States still has a lot to learn from many other countries that have a longer and much more complex history, rooted in thousands of years."

US Assistant Secretary of State Marie Royce will stay in Albania for a few days. Part of the agenda of her meetings was also with President Ilir Meta.

"We should aim for more Albanian students to be educated in the US, but at the same time, to create the conditions for them to return to their country, to become its future leaders", Meta emphasized.
