Albanian police vehicle in Durrës (archive) |
Durrës Police continues the work to prevent and crack down on illegality, arresting 2 citizens in flagrante delicto, for various criminal offenses.
Specialists for Investigation of Illegal Trafficking in DVP Durrës arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen A.H., 53 years old, resident in Ireland, after giving the Irish passport of his son, to the citizen A.B., 18 years old, who tried to cross the border with this passport, taking advantage of the similarity.
This is not an isolated case in the Albanian context. Experts have repeatedly stressed the risk of forgery of documents, mainly for the purpose of emigration but also trafficking in human beings.
It is thought that A.H. has received a considerable amount of money from A.B. in exchange for the son's passport.
