Albanian households pay more for energy than other countries in the region. The figures are released by Eurostat, which has published statistics on energy prices for households, not including taxes included in the bill paid by the consumer, Euronews Albania reports.

According to Eurostat, an Albanian family pays more for energy than Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Kosovo, which also has the cheapest price in the region.

An Energy Community report notes that Albania pays more than all the countries surveyed to provide the amount of energy needed for consumption.

The report underlines that businesses in Albania also pay more for energy than the region.

"In the countries taken into the study, part of the Energy Community has differences in terms of components in an energy bill. The share of the energy indicator in the final bill was the highest in Albania with 63% and the lowest in Serbia with 34%", it is stated in the report.

He also analyzes energy costs for business consumers, noting that in Albania they have again paid more.

The lowest electricity prices for industrial electricity consumers were in Georgia, while the highest price for industrial consumption was reported in Albania.
