Germany donates 20 patrol cars to the Albanian border police

 The German Embassy in Tirana has donated vehicles and equipment to the Border Police to help fight illegal migration and smuggling.

Ambassador Peter Zingraf in the presence of the Minister of Interior of Albania Sander Lleshaj handed over 20 patrol vehicles, two vehicles for the transport of police units, two off-road vehicles, and other equipment worth 500 thousand euros.

On the occasion of the handover, Ambassador Zingraf stressed: 

“These devices for the Albanian Border Police are a sign of close cooperation between Germany and Albania, in this case, between the Federal Police and the Albanian Border Police, to fight illegal migration, cross-border crime, and drug and arms smuggling in particular. The challenges on the periphery of Europe are not becoming less and less, we can only manage them together."
