Bajraktari after scoring the third goal against the Turks

Great success for Albanian women's football. The champions of Vllaznia defeated the Turkish colleagues of ALG Spor Kulubu in a challenge full of emotions, thus passing to the second round of the Champions League.
The match ended 2-2 in the first 90 minutes, where Shkodra passed twice in the lead with Gjini, but always being equalized by the Turks. In extra time, with a goal by Çivelek in the 118th minute, the Turks were starting to celebrate the qualification, but in the last seconds, Bajraktari managed to equalize everything thanks to a beautiful action.
The penalties smiled on the Albanians who could thus celebrate an almost unexpected victory over a potentially stronger rival.
Albanian Football Federation President Armand Duka described the victory as an "excellent achievement for the red and blue girls of Shkodra, but also for Albania's women's football. Let us hope that this success will be followed by other triumphs and that Vllaznia advances to the group stage of the Champions League for women. It would be a deserved success for this team, but at the same time, it shows that women's football in Albania has increased in terms of quality in recent years.
