Kosovo and Serbia reach an agreement by the end of 2021, according to Serbian analyst Dusan Janjic

Political analyst Dusan Janjic is skeptical about the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue due to the approach of the parties and the European Union. He expects an agreement to be reached between the two countries by the end of the year, but without Serbia recognizing Kosovo's citizenship. The expert on political developments, Dusanj Janjic, believes that Kosovo and Serbia will reach an agreement by the end of next year, but that there will be no recognition of independence, but only of the reality in our country.

"I think the parties can reach an agreement at the end of next year, similar to the one in Washington, where President Vucic will recognize the reality of Kosovo, but will not fully recognize Kosovo's independence," Dushan Janjic said in an interview to RTV Dukagjini. He also said that there are two problems that are hindering progress in the dialogue.

"The first is the unpreparedness of the Emissary Miroslav Lajcak and his team and the European Union itself. It is wrong to start with the idea that we do not agree on anything until a general agreement is reached. You can make such deals with shopkeepers, but not between the two countries. "I think we need to wait for Biden to come so that Brussels can work closely with Washington to push the dialogue process forward." The Serbian analyst says that there should be international pressure on Serbia on the issue of the bodies of the missing in the last war in the country, as he said that the Serbs know where the bodies are.

"Especially on the part of Serbia, the issue of missing persons is ignored. In Serbia, people know where the troops are, including locations like Batajnica and other places. "After all these years, it is unacceptable that the bodies of the missing have not been discovered. This does not help Serbia at all to defend Milosevic's policy and help some people escape justice. War criminals should be punished." The EU, in a response to RTV Dukagjini, said that there is no date for the next meeting between Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels.
