 Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis reiterated his support for the integration of Albania and North Macedonia into the EU. Mitsotakis underlined his support for the Thessaloniki Agenda, ie in the European perspective of the region.

"Transforming the Western Balkans into an area of ​​peace, stability, development, and prosperity is important for both Greece and the EU.

"The rule of law, respect for human and minority rights, the strengthening of democratic institutions, and the observance of agreements are the preconditions for the accession process of the Western Balkan countries," he said, according to ABC.

The Greek Prime Minister stressed that is essential to meet the criteria of the enlargement process, including good neighborly relations in accordance with international law.

Referring to the situation created by the pandemic, Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated that the global health crisis requires the interdependence of countries in the region, both with each other and with the EU.
