North Macedonia on Friday registered 25 people dead from COVID-19, while 1,064 infected and 507 cured, based on a report by the Institute of Public Health referring to 3,096 tests performed in the last 24 hours.
The victims are five in Kumanovo, four in Veles, three in Skopje and Tetovo, two in Prilep, and from one in eight other cities.
The total death toll has reached 1,263 people, most of them from Skopje.
Among the dead is Shukri Fazliu, a specialist doctor, 49 years old from Kumanovo, who died at the Infectious Diseases Clinic in Skopje after the deterioration of the condition caused by COVID -19.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 12 doctors have lost their lives to COVID-19 in North Macedonia.
As for the infected, according to the Institute of Public Health, Skopje still remains the city with the highest number of infected, with 541 diagnosed on Friday.
Over one thousand people are hospitalized in the Infectious Diseases Clinic in Skopje and other health centers, most of whom are on oxygen therapy.
