But how were they discovered?
The Border Police say that from the increased controls based on the risk analysis, 2 trucks were transferred to the second line for detailed control, which were transporting vehicles Italy-Albania, with the drivers F. M. and A. L.
During the control in the vehicle driven by F. M., a quantity of monetary value of 282,265 Euros was found hidden in different parts of the vehicle. The driver of the truck F. M., 29 years old, resident in Lezha, was arrested for the criminal offense "Failure to declare money and valuables at the border".
The border police then continued with the control of the other vehicle driven by A. L., wherein his personal bag was found and seized a quantity of monetary value of 11 765 euros. The 34-year-old with the initials A.L. resident in Lushnja was prosecuted in a free state.
