Two Albanians among the 100 most powerful personalities on Staten Island

 Two Albanians are ranked among the 100 most powerful personalities for 2020 on Staten Island in New York. The ranking was made by the weekly City and State, where the names of Brahim Ardolic and Imam Tahir Kukaj appears.

Dr. Brahim Ardolic is ranked 5th on this list. He is the Executive Director of Staten Island University Hospital and is on the expert group overseeing the coronavirus pandemic.

Imam Tahir Kukaj is ranked for the third year in a row 91st in this list. The well-known Albanian imam is the vice president of the Albanian Islamic Cultural Center in Staten Island. In 2019 he was elected as the main representative of Islamic duties in the New York police (NYPD Muslim Chaplin).

The influence of Albanian-Americans in the life of New York has increased greatly, especially in the last two decades.

Dr. Brahim Ardolic is in the expert group overseeing Staten Island University Hospital against the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. As a senior executive, he excels in expanding the hospital's capacity by 50% and tripling intensive care beds in just a few weeks. He ranks 5th on the Staten Island Power 100 list.

While, the well-known Albanian imam in Staten Island, vice-president of the Albanian and Islamic Cultural Center in Staten Island, Tahir Kukaj has been elected on June 24, 2019, as the main representative of Islamic duties in the New York police, or as he is known otherwise NYPD Muslim Chaplin. A task he still holds today.
