12 cubic meters of smuggled fireworks are seized in Tirana

 Tirana Police has seized a large amount, about 12 cubic meters, fireworks of different sizes and shapes, arresting the owner and prosecuting the owner of the entity that had made available the environment for their storage.

The fireworks, smuggled from Kosovo, were stored in a food market environment in the City of Students in Tirana, outside of any technical security conditions. The arrested owner, a 36-year-old with the initials V.M. had hidden the fireworks by putting them in food packaging.

According to the Tirana Police, in the last week alone, 378 entities (various shops, models or supermarkets) were checked across the country, as well as wholesale markets, in order to avoid the trade of fireworks, as the fireworks are illegal in Albania.
